    Why you dont add more news on first page.
    Try with 4 or 6 news.

    I like the first one more too. But one thing about both of the designs. What purpose does the blue bar on the top serve?

    thanks everyone for your opinions. I was really leaning toward #2. I actually changed #2 just a tad bit and added three columns on the top section which can be seen here: www.deronsizemore.com/test/index.html

    nikolaaa: Thanks for the suggestion. I probably will put more news on the first page. Just used the 2 news articles as an example.

    sp0om: The blue bar just serves a visual purpose. I see alot of sites with the bar at the top like that and I kinda liked it. Do you think it'd be better without it?
