Website Design PSD Needed - $300 Prize

Hey guys...... I need a design made up for my new site I have been developing.

The site is based around sports cards (primarily basketball cards at this time), however I may expand it into other sports down the line so please keep this in mind & don't design it around a basketball theme.

The site can be found here: http://www.oncardauto.com/index.php

As you can see I have developed it with a wire frame of the kinda layout I would like for it. You have a lot of flexibility with the layout, only thing to keep in mind is that I want the look of the "random sets" to stay the same; (so that the image is on the left & the info on the right & to span the whole content area like it currently does). Also keep in mind there has to be room for a google banner like I currently have on my layout. Also, one other thing I would like on the front page which I would like worked into the layout is a "module" kind of thing that is an advanced search bar with the same search options as they get on the advanced search page.

If you are the winner I will also need the other pages designed as well..... please navigate through the pages with the links provided in the navigation area to see all the other pages. Also, please keep in mind that on the browsing pages I will be adding pagination down the bottom.

If you want to submit an entry I would like to see the homepage (+ one other internal page with the submission - if I like the homepage design I will ask for this extra page to be designed too..... en example of that page can be seen here: http://www.oncardauto.com/view.php?sid=50&dmode=small

Here is the current logo we're using: http://www.oncardauto.com/images/oca_lg.jpg The winner will be provided with a PSD and/or .ai file of this to properly work it into the design.

Contest will be open for about 10 days unless I decide otherwise. I also reserve the right to not declare a winner if none of the entries are what I'm looking for.

    Thanks & good luck!

Can't seem to edit my first post so here are some points of note to other people that will be entering:

    1. It's important to note that the site isn't selling - the site is simply an informational directory. :)

    2. I would like there to be one browse button & when clicked it is a dropdown selection box where they can choose from the 3 available options.

    3. The search module should contain ALL options that are available on the advanced search page.

    Cheers! :)

    Edit:
I just red your comment about the drop down list to browse. I can change the current setup to that if you would like.

gnitez: Thanks for the entry. I don't want to sound too harsh, but other than the "random set" modules I'm not really liking anything else sorry. :(

The header is way too plain & not integrated enough with the logo - the layout is also missing the "search module" I specified & also space for the google banner.

sarsh11: The overall layout if this design is good, but the selection of colors really wrecks it. If you fix up the color selection a bit & try & optimize the header a bit more it will be much improved :)

zeba5: I'm sorry but was there a point to your post!?

gnitez: Wow much much better - I really like this one! :)

A few things that could improve it a little..

    1. Could we stretch the main content area to the width of the header; don't really like the side edging it currently has.

    2. Could we maybe try a slightly different looking nav? That one isn't bad.... just want to see if it can be improved at all.

    3. If it's at all possible could we put the browse button into the nav with the other buttons?

    4. Still not overly fond of that yellow color you have used for the background of the intro text & the search button; can we try something else there please? Either with a different color or with a different look for that section?

Other than that it is looking nice!

saxDesigns: Very nice... I like it!

Would like to see a different version of the nav though, don't hate the current one... just think we could use something that would blend in with a dropdown button for the browse a little better as the current one looks out of place.

Only other thing is *maybe* try & make the logo slightly bigger...

Other than those two things everything is looking great! :)

bizzard: Another nice design... good work! :) A couple things of note below..

    1. I think the placement of the logo could be improved a lot, needs to be integrated a lot more & probably be bigger.

    2. Could we make just the one browse button in the nav bar with a dropdown rather than have the three options with the additional "orange" browse button?

    3. Could we try putting the search module on the right & the welcome text on the left?

Cheers guys & keep the great designs coming!! :)

Hey mate.... just thought of another idea.

With the current design I wasn't overly keen on the rounded top design, was thinking maybe we could bring up some edges on the sides & above the logo? Hope you understand what I mean..... this should make designing a new nav a bit easier to implement the new look I think!?
