I really want to earn money from the internet.. I am php programmer and know how to work in HTML and css to produce nice templates but all my time sometimes consumed only in making templates I am really not able to understand what to do, please suggest me.. Can I sell my templates online. if yes, where, I want to know the best locations for selling my templates. Also suggest me which is much required for a website to get traffic, good Content or a good design.
In terms of traffic, it will be better if you can have both the good design and good content. Putting it together can make a difference not just relying on one factor. Templates are hard to sell IMO because there are lots of free templates out there that people pick to. I suggest that you do your own site that sells templates, as well as some free templates that you can offer.
Maybe you could create your own site to sell your own templates and maybe specialise in a niche, either templates for a script with a shortage of templates or targetting a niche that others are not.

you have to have good texts and content first..with proper seo inside...like h1, h2, h3 tags included..and also you need to have good design with interesting topics for repeated visitors..blog is a great idea to repeat visitors... selling template online is not profitable these days..but of course you can try some video scripts or social netwporking scripts which are popular...make template for them and sell to peoples by visiting many forums in the world.
Make your own site. Get Joomla, get a template. Customize it. Add your sections (shop, portfolio, about us etc.). That should get u started.
Good content, good links, and SEO tools.. Use Google Analytics and Alexa to monitor your traffic. You need to execute a good SEO strategy in order to boost your PageRank and web visibility.
