    Hey everyone!

So I am in the design process of revamping my website and I am a little stuck.

I am going for a web 2.0 feel and I got a basic framework of what I want. But I am a little stuck about how I would go about giving it that web 2.0 feel (gradients, rounded corners) and not use tables and make it compatible across platforms.

    Here is my current framework:

What do you guys think? What shall I do differently?

    Thanks in advance :)

Put the nav and sidebar on the right so the search engine spider crawls your content first.

Okay, I can bear that in mind. But how would I get it all of the ground?

    How should I start?

Search for Grid Systems and CSS Frameworks, you will get better idea on how to design with standards compliant and and make the code neat and look the same acrosss browsers.

Platforms... You mean Mobile ? If so, I think you need not have to worry much as most mobile devices can render web pages pretty good unless you do it in a standard way. But you have to see it, if you are using more dynamic pages and using excessive javascript/flash.

That is not a problem, you can place the navigation after the content and add float left to navigation and float right to main.

Im currently in the throws of moving from table style designs to css but it appears some sites still use tables for triple or quad width columns like yours although someone on here maybe able to advise on how to use pure CSS? You can also use CSS to make your important content appear first in the coding so Google reads this first. Saying that I'm sure it can work out where on the page everything ends up being!

Grid Systems and CSS Frameworks looks REALLY great, but it confuses me... I haven't done much CSS work before, so how do you advice me to start?
