I've started to design some basic websites for my Freelance webdesign business and I've mostly decided on these layout structures for the mainsite and the blog. I think it's best to get a second opinion before I start writing up code for it. Here's the images. Tell me what you think. Does it read well? Do the colors work? What kind of improvements can be made. Thanks in advance for the response. Here's the mainsite: ignore the placeholder text And here's the blog. Again, the text isn't official. It's just an article on the huffington post copy and pasted. Sorry for the extra white space on some of the images. Anyway, any thoughts?
Not bad. Lots of room for pictures and text. Is this adsense ready? or is this just for businesses only? I just did a similar design and went from the rounded to square with shadow, borders and linar colors. I'm sure it will look great in action. Good Luck
Thanks you guys. I was really waiting to hear some feedback before I'm ready to show it to clients. This is my freelance business website - the mainsite wasn't designed for adwords but I'm considering it for the blog if I'm not successful with advertising space.
I think it would be perfect if you glossied your layout images the way your logo image has glossy, try it I bet it will add that extra wow you feel you're missing
The text in blog pages is difficult to read, probably you need to make text darker or background - lighter.
