I'll pay $100 via PayPal to the winner, and I'll probably pay more for slicing and coding, if the winner wants to slice and code (in html) the page for me. The design is to be for a a company that sells organic, high end honey products. The name of the company is Hatuna. So basically, I want a very attractive site. The logo in the upper right, a promotional banner (whatever promotion we happen to be running that month) next to the logo, and a topnav below the logo and banner. The topnav should consist of "Home, News, Health Benefits, Recipes, Where to Buy, Contact." Left nav should list the products: 16 Oz Honey, 32 Oz Honey, Raw Honey, Gift Certificates, Beeswax Rightnav should have newsletter signup thingie, Facebook widget, Twitter Widget, Video thingie. ( See my last contest to understand what I mean by "video thingie.") Contest goes for 1 week.
Got some questions via PM but want to keep this all out in the public so I'll answer here: There is no logo. The winning contest entry will have to have a logo in it, and that will be the logo we use. If I were to design the logo, I would take something roundish and put a HATUNA across it. Somewhat like V7 logo here: http://www.v7inc.com/v7banner/tuhana.jpg except instead of blue and white, maybe go gold and green. By gold I mean this color. By green I mean this. Bg color should probably be something like this. Nope. But plenty of honey sites here: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Food_and_Related_Products/Sweeteners/Honey/ & http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Food/Sweeteners/Honey/ We may do online sales. It hasn't been decided yet. I would say go ahead and include it. I'm not an artist, so I prefer to leave design up the designers.
Two more: I don't have any. Production has just begun and won't have any products for at least a month.
Hi, thanks! It's not a bad design, but it doesn't have the depth that I am looking for. I think you might do well to check out the designs in the other contest thread to see the "feeling" that I like in designs.
Here is my entry. Dont forget that the logo is temporary (but i can create a regular one in few hours). Please review. update: used a webfont, which is available freely on the internet.
Hi guys, none of the designs I have seen so far seem to be what I would call polished. They seem a bit slapped together, to be honest. Allow me to quote myself... Please, check out the winning design in the other thread.
I appreciate your entry. However, I think it's folksy, provincial. ( Of or characteristic of people from the provinces; not fashionable or sophisticated.) Which would be a good thing if we were selling home made honey products, but since we are selling gourmet honey, it is something of a drawback. Looking for a more polished look.
Give me some time and I'll go surf a couple up. Off the top of my head, I've always thought the Conrad's website was classy.
I'm working on the logo at the moment and adding the final touches.I'll be posting in the next hour(s) my design entry.
