I'm thinking of adding a live smart agent or chat, and working on developing more of a list. What do you guys find to be helpful in terms of helping your site/product convert into sales? Thanks.
It all depends on the product and the purpose of the site. If your site requires a smart agent or chat, then by all means do it. If not, don't do it. Kinda a no brainer.
All depends on the niche and the product you're selling. Most important thing is to give your users as much information as possible so that they feel confident in actually buying rather than doing another google search for more Info. I generally find that any review pages work really well, make your choice of product #1 etc etc. - but again, depending on what you're promoting that may not be applicable at all. Live agents can work well, but totally depends on what you're promoting.
Like the others said.... Also, practically all do not open a chat window. They really have no reason to, so.... You can have one anyway, just know that fact. In addition to having a nice, easy-to-read, believable site, the one thing that works is to have an ordering form right there in front of their faces, right there on the sales page. No clicking on a link to go to a separate page. You want to get them at the heat of the moment. Plus, make the form short, and they are done within 60 seconds.
