    Hello,

I am quite new in building websites and am interested what website building software do you recommend?

Till now I have worked with CofeeCup HTML and would like to move forward to more advanced-it also should be user friendly software.

    Thanks,
    Maya

If it's going to be a large site I'd suggest a content management system like Wordpress (hosted on your server not the free .org site) it's less flexibility, but will save you tons of time in the long run as far as updating the site.

That being said if you're looking for WYSIWYG editors and you can afford it then Dreamweaver or XSitePro. You can probably find Dreamweaver at a discount if you're a student or teacher, just do a search for "academic software"

You can also find some pretty good free ones http://kompozer.net and another one people suggest is http://www.trellian.com/webpage/ I like Kompozer because I know how to set the table properties, but with Trellian I haven't figured it out yet.
