If you want GOOD results... then you need to learn how to code it yourself.

There is no really good "drag&drop-software" that is covering ALL aspects in terms of SEO... fact!

It's hard to learn the code... using the SiteBuilder it could be easy to create a site and to update it

My first question would be "what do you want a website builder to do?"

If you just want to throw up a collection of pages then dreamweaver or even an ancient copy of Adobe GoLive would do the trick.
Most people expect more than that these days and that is why you skip over the dreamweaver stage and go straight to a CMS like WordPress as alkantenik pointed out.

If your site won't be hosting "content" as such then you may need a framework like cakePHP which could be called a website builder but you need a significant amount of PHP under your belt.

So... let us know what you are trying to build and we'll let you know what the best approach is.

Why not getting an unique website coded, and edit it so it suits your needs?

Actually, that's not strictly true. BaseKit is drag and drop, but HTML5 (no flash!) and 100% W3C-compliant. It's by far the best one I've tried, I use it for my affiliate sites. I think the ultimate is still hand-coded, but Basekit lets me throw decent looking sites together, and optimise them well, very quickly.

    It is paid for, though.

Again, I feel you need to check a sitebuilder software in order to see that it's easier,
I can recommend a website builder software I'm using, I don't remember it's name but their website is: www.trafficmedia.com.
