    Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is the correct post to place this but here goes.
I run a successful Website Hosting Service and have recently decided
that I would like to venture into the Website Brokering industry.

If any ones as the time and the knowledge, could you advise me
on how to set-up and any legal issue.

I am aware of the basics.

Also please feel free to email me dan10107@hotmail.com

For this kind of business, you need to have a lot of $$$ to buy website and then resell it for higher price.
At the beginning, you must create a buzz about your brokering service by sponsoring major event such as blog contest.

    Thanks for replying.

I am aiming to settup a site that a website owner would post thier site
on and we would help sell it for them through commision. Although
I have ideas up my right sleave to make it unique :D:D

How would this work, And are there any legal issue?

    An example would be www.WebSiteBroker.com

Thanks for all your times! But still need help.

Interesting idea. I think there are a lot of sites that don't charge commission for listing websites. DP (this site) is a good example, so you will need to provide some reason as to why someone would pay for such service. And also, selling a website is not as hard as selling a house, so there isn't that much of a need for a broker. The only kinds of sites I feel that may need a broker are those that are established to a scale of a business (ie a dotcom company).

Just like Adrian said there are lots of sites that don't charge anything.

Unless you are trying to sell tech startups, or sites with a huge potential, it may not work. I personally would not pay you to sell my site, or help me buy a site, when I can sell/buy it on a few other websites for free. Unless you are thinking of selling websites to Venture Capitalists I would recommend not charging comission fees.
