You're in a really competitive niche, so ranking to the top will be very difficult, close to impossible. You're looking at a lot of money and time. Blog comments isn't going to do it. You need quality, contextual backlinks, from high authority sites. Web 2.0s, article directories, and the next big thing are social networks.
