Website awards

Does anyone know of a place where I can find those small banners that make your website look reputable and legit? One's like satisfaction guaranteed, or top 100 websites, etc. Just some free ones I can post on my website. I think customers like seeing those. Seems to ease them a little.

I personally think those banners just make you look like you're trying too hard. If your folio doesn't impress potential clients, those crappy little "Top 100" graphics won't help.

I semi-agree with the above poster. If your portfolio doesn't get them, awards won't help. However, they do increase the credibility of your site, as long as they're subtle. Check out www.liquisoft.com for a really good example.

Um. You want to post fake awards? That's a bad idea.
If I see one of those things on someone's site, I generally click it because I want to see the other winners. If your's doesn't go anywhere that can only lead to bad reputation.

    Earn it or forget it.

You can use stock photographs.. I too oppose of fake awards though. Maybe try looking for real awards to apply your site too (the reputable ones) it would work for you.

I didn't necessarily mean fake awards. More like those banners that say satisfaction guaranteed, hacker safe, etc. Not necessarily Best Site Award from siteawards.com!!!!

Well if you have a satisfaction guaranteed graphic, then you'll have to stand by it... Same with the hacker safe ones.

I agree 100%. If you are going to put them on your site, you're going to have to stand by them. You don't just put them on your site to make you look "reputable". Not the most professional idea.
