Every Month a new company appears doing thier own website awards.... are they really worth anything????????? I am thinking about submitting on of the network of sites that we have built up for an award. Which one? I dont know, there are so many out there. Do i aim big? Straight to the Webby's or go small to a unknown award!! I am also thinking.... is the network ready for the Webby's!! maybe........ Has anyone hewre won any website awards? did they help drive traiffic, give you exposure etc etc as they claim?
i have never tried an award or something, but then if you know some great award giving website! please let me know so that i could participate!
Well it would be nice if people could post here any URLs to sites that run awards... hint hint Maybe i will start my own called 'Best God Damn Website in the World Award'
That's one of the easiest way to get link. Once you are nominated, you will just go around to tell everyone to vote for you, that like free link + traffic
I think that most (if not all) of those awards are basically just tricks to get inbound links for the award giver. Let's say I create a cool looking little award graphic and then I award your site with my "seal of approval" or whatever and then give you the code to display my wonderful notice of recognition to your site - with a handy link to my own site -- see what I mean? Everytime I award someone's website I have a potential one way backlink to my own site! Just my opinion about the 'awards'
