I have heard that website architecture plays an important role in SEO. What are the basic things to keep in mind while designing a website?
Keep them on your site with many links to other pages. They also like to see responsive sites. Of course all the proper tags and stuff. Hopefully someone can fill in the rest, these are just off the top of my head.
A Good site architecture includes : 1. Proper Navigation(Breadcrumbs) 2. Well defined URLs 3. Efficient interlinking between Pages. So make sure your website is taking care of these three things. Also, look out for canonical issues(if any) and resolve them. Create HTML sitemaps so that if a user finds it difficult to search anything then he/she can go through the desired location easily. But, If Breadcrumbs are there then your half work is done.
