Website Appraisal

I'm only considering the option.. but if I were to sell http://www.spiceyournet.com via auction, what bid amount would I start at? How does an auction generally work after the sale? Someone said Escrow, but who escrows?

The sites traffic is super targeted.. but it doesn't have alot of traffic..
Gross Rev is about $2000-$3000 per month
A smart person would hire someone with very good English skills to write articles for $10 or under.

    Any thoughts?

Acording to Siteamount you dont have to many pages in SEs, Alexa is not showing much for pageviews....

Most of the price would be in the revenue.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured, it's not really an ad revenue site, it's a service site...

But how does that revenue convert to starting bid price?

Well from my experiense you would do this: revnue x 5 months or so = your starting price. But if you are looking to sell, you should make the site look complete so in the bidders view theres nothing really to do to the site so it gets there attention on bidding.

You should add some more to the index page and then create various pages like contact us, about us, ect this should get you started.

Hehe I should I know I agree.. But honestly that's why I want to sell! I'm not one of those smart people that hire out the articles... once in awhile I do, but generally the 4 of us write them... and we write them pretty much from when we get up to when we go to sleep! I try to update it as I have time, but time is not really something owning that site provides me a lot of :p

    Thnx for the comments!

If you are going to go with revenue you would do either 6x, 12x, or 24x revenue model.

Why are you considering to sell the website that brings you the average US salary?
