What are some of the reputable places to consider if you have a network of related sites to have officially appraised? Site valuation seems to vary significantly when using some of the more popular tools but if I wanted someone to appraise my network who would you suggest? I'm looking for complete network valuation not just domain name valuation. Thanks!
Automatic tools are pretty terrible at appraising sites. Generally the rule of thumb is 10-12 times whatever your monthly revenue is. It can be more or less depending the niche, content of the site and how long it has been around.
Right, right, I get all that what I'm talking about is a NETWORK .. 25 sites tied together within the same niche. I'd never part it out and the interested party has inquired about the entire network. The sites all range in PR, Age, software, forums, blogs, info sites etc. I've seen some sites for sale that have an "Appraisal Certificate", that's what I'm looking for who's a reputable company that does that?
