Webrings for link building

What about webrings (see a description of it in Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webring), do you find this circular way of building links useful?

 

Webrings! Reminds me of 1998 Memories...

 

you are just about a decade too late utilizing this method. in other words, NO

 

It is dangerous as well as some of the websites within the webrings might be blacklisted and it will affect your websites. Correct me if I am wrong..

 

I think it is called as a linkWheel . in which the site links to each other in circle...

 

Never used a webring and not planning to.
