i sold a blog to this company ientry too before,
they also remove all my current sponsor ads.
    by the way,
i have no idea why they would buy a web directory.

As I know, iEntry switches their directories to their own script, it's not phpld anymore. So, there aren't sponsored or designed by links.
    Correct me if i'm wrong.

It might be the case, but it takes them some time before they switch over, and during that period of time they still take off all required links.

They buy loads of directories. They are a big company. They dont get scared by emails from template owners like me. They couldnt care if they make money.

Blame the people that sold their directories to them too ;) they snapped up a lot of them because people were willing to offload their directories to them. :)

Send them a DMCA takedown notice for EVERY site they've used your design from without crediting you accordingly. They seem to be hosted in the US so they have to follow that law. The ISP is forced to take it down to not be liable themselves. (Unless you come with really vague proof that it's yours)

If you don't take further actions (lawsuit), the ISP will make the content available again after 14 days... And surely those *censored word* will stop stealing after a while when they get notices all the time. :)

Freewebspace, Ientry is not the same company as INet that own WHT and lots of other forums.

Ientry is buying loads of webmaster sites like directories to make money and drive traffic towards their larger sites. For example, a blog I used to read owned by a DP member kingnomar.com - they bought that, filled it with ads and now it is dead. They will never add content, just utilise the search engine and other traffic it gets to make money and traffic from it.

I sold 2 directories to ientry. They removed the footer links on both of them, 1 of which was my own template.

They have shed loads of money. They pay up front every time. Sometimes I would have to remind them to move the site etc.

Blimey, i wouldn't sell to them or anything, plus similar to others i dont agree with some of what they do, but wow, they must be minted as you say if they dont concern themselves too much about having a purchased site in their posession or not.
