    FWIW, I just saw another directory on Sitepoint bought by Web Pro News.

    As well, at least 2 of the directories mentioned by CReed were just recently bought by Web Pro News.

    I find it really interesting that a large company suddenly is purchasing lots of directories...

    Also, I believe that they "monetize" their directories (at least at this point) primarily through a newsletter rather than submission fees.

    Anyone else starting to receive unsolicited newletters? Check out the option at the bottom - by opting out of the newsletter, you're also removing yourself from the directory.
