Breaking News in the Directory Market Web Pro News http://www.webpronews.com/ have just acquired Magx Directory http://www.magx.net/ This is just the news the Directory Market needed confirming that the Directory sector continues to go from strength to strength Exciting news as big players continue to enter this strong, solid, expanding market place
Wow! thats a news that iEntry, Inc. has acquired a web directory... Do they own any other directory? Or is this their first foray into directory business?
Wow--thanks Pete for the news. It really is a great news for the industry -despite some fools dismissing directories as waste of money.
Im happy for him but was waiting to buy it myself.. I know the links it had behind it as that directory was just as powerful as Biz-king and Sleeks with several PR7s and tons of PR6 links.. How much did it go for?... Nevermind it dont matter i didnt get it .... lol thx malcolm
Congrats Matt. I remember doing a large ezine advertising campaign with iEntry back in 2000 and 2001. Glad to see they're still doing well, and hope to see great things with the web directory too.
Yes, they do own other directories: jayde.com allyourlink.com webfeeds.info (looks famliar) check out the pending links -7K i25hotlanes.com (another familiar template - SpringBreak) whichforum.com oyez.info (v2.1 w/linkback removed?) tugf.com (v2.0 without link again?)
Interesting news-thanks for letting us know. I wouldn't expect such a large company to remove links from templates. Last one www.tugf.com is using template under ownership of Aviva. If they didn't pay for link removal they are candidates for QBC site.
Wow, thats excellent, where can i read more about it? or have they not written anything regarding the purchase.
Thanks for the news Pete. How did you find out? Will be interesting to see what a big company can do with a paid directory
Congrats Matt - that's fabjlous news! No, they did not pay for this. Also, the template on whichforum.com looks like mine too and they did not pay for link removal :-( Very shocked that a big company would do this (also surprised that they don't just pay for custom templates).
I think they own more. I can't recall others. I hope they don't remove links at Magx because I just bought few on it
I think Rich Ord have not noticed about template sponsor, he just takan the site by paying an amount! just my 2c
This suggests to me that they are expanding their directory share by buying up directories rather than starting new ones, and not modifying what they have bought. Let us know if you can get this cleared up with them.
