Webpages To Use

Hi guys.

When building backlinks, is it still sensible to build webpages with quality contet like blogger.com, squidoo, wordpress, weebly etc and then link them back to the site you are promoting?

Leaving aside the issue of Google's love hate relationship with squidoo, is this still abest practice" when building backlinks and driving traffic?

Also, are there any other services like the ones mentioned above that would be good to use for this sort of thing?

Nothing is better than those quality articles that attract natural targeted links from sites related to yours. The optimised and targeted links you get through these type of articles really a lot in terms of SEO and Page Rank.

Doesn't hurt, but you also then have to spend time promoting the new page (ie squidoo lens). What you get in return is a highly relevant link back to your site.

It's pretty easy to get a squidoo lens up to PR2-3. And if you do a good job on the lens you will also get referral traffic from it.
