Hey guys, I was wondering if there is enough work for webmasters, curious to know, what new things you are implementing/managing, and any tools/products your think is cool
uhh, yes more then enough, if you are good at what you do and can do it in a professional manner cheers
Every good webmaster always has the next best thing they are working on or have a plan to start working on That's what makes us who we are
For me the available time is little and I can't think of other than my routine work like link building, submission to directories, article writing, updating my site etc...
You can always keep yourself busy, either by improving on the current setup or looking for new ideas....
Well, along with the traditional research/working through SEO stuff and social networking, I have to teach myself to build a pretty big game. Likely in flash. The coolest product I've found and done research on would have to be sitebuildit. I've had a chance to play with it a little about a year ago, and the tools for finding all the search phrases related to any keyword you put in, how much each phrase is searched and how many sites already have it alone is worth a lot. It also has it's own templates, site building tools, and a bunch of other stuff I don't feel like going through and parroting right now. It is however, 300 dollars per year. 25 dollars per month is a little bit expensive these days, but still not too bad. They do give you a money back success garuntee, so there's little to lose from the cost itself. On top of all that, it has probably the best affiliate program I can find. This is my affiliate link which takes you to their half hour video tour. videotour.sitesell.com/FDJustin.html If you're curious but bothered that it's an affiliate link, just cut off the extension (FDJustin.html) and you'll go to the site itself. FeedForAll feedforall.com is a great little program for making RSS feeds quickly. It also has an affiliate setup if you find it good enough to promote them. Personally I probably won't sign up past the 30 day trial, but it's still recommendable. Feed validator will let you know if you have a problem with your feeds. feedvalidator.org (works with atom feeds too). I use SEOQuake, a firefox extension to add a bar to the top of my browser that gives me a quick reference to any websites backlinks in google, yahoo, or msn. Lets me quickly look through a websites keyword density, and alexa traffic ranking. You'll have to go to mozilla and search through the browser plugins yourself for it. cyberleo.net is the webhost I'm currently using. The owner is an online friend of mine. They have decent enough prices, but it isn't as super cheap as some of the stuff you can find. The only problem is, I keep trying to make them structuralize their prices better. Still, reliable enough and you can always approach them about what you need for your site.
