THE THREAD TITLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN "Webmasters! WHAT IF U DIE THE NEXT MOMENT?" hehe.....lets hope it doesnt happen for real , but still, have u guys thought about what would happen if you die suddenly? Have you shared your websites' password and other details with anyone really close to you (like ur wife or kids?), just to make sure that even if u die suddenly, your site can still help them earn $$$ like ur doing now....? Just like parents pass down their 'will' to their children...... And what if ur not married yet, then who have u shared your password with ? well......if u havent, arent u taking a risk? your whole site might become wasted if there's no one to take control of it after you pass away...... I know it wouldnt affect you in any way, coz its AFTER your death but still we could really help another person earn the money, we earn now......
This is definitely something important in our case. For us, we've got our sales/tech support operators, that will continue to help out in any event. But our sensitive, company management information is kept secure and ready to be sent to the appointed individual, should this kind of situation ever happen. It's always good to have a backup plan!
this thread is really something it opened my mind to some important situation. what if it really happened oh my god i need to keep important info in a book or something.
Meh, i'd have had a good run. No one knows my passwords and things though. Think i'll probably write them all down one day and put it in a safety deposit box or something.
Ok this is a bit of a depressing subject BUT my girlfriend knows them all =] I just better not piss her off before I die KP
and if ur planning to write them "one day", better do it "today" itself, coz you cant predict anything about death! Hope you wont be regretting about it at heaven..........just kidding, bro
good point if you go today all those little projects youve started could be gone in a mo and imagine that had happened to bill gates etc no microsoft
well......i dont think its gonna happen to companies like that, since im sure they'll have the passwords with more than 1 person.....I was talking about webmasters like us, who work on our sites all by ourselves and earn a substantial income......
There's no one really who could overtake my e-empire (websites, passwords, accounts...) so I should really consider writing a program that would delete everything I own online, just in case I die suddenly. God forbid I somehow manage to survive and all of my traces on the internet would be deleted, then I would really have to kill myself. And in this case, would the program result in a fatal error when trying to remove something that does not exist anymore? Interesting...
Same her, my ex. knows all of my passwords, But she is still in love, So she wouldn't hurt me Better Not to piss her off then. Ya, Got To. Guess I'm gonna write them in a piece of paper, and keep it somewhere safe.
I store all my details in google doc. just before 2 sec i die I ll tell my password to someone and die.!
lets hope ur not trampled by an elephant or bitten by a King Cobra, you just might not get ur 2 secs then!
