Thanks mate -for sharing same views. I have tried --some softwares with my sites recently--dumped them --and did it all manually and now getting the results as e-mails are coming now and then about approval. Jayde just approved my site yesterday:D Hoping for more listing confirmations following. I din't submit it to lots of sites---just select few of around 300 with PR4+. Few of them are giving good PR value innerpages:D

Personally if you have some budget to advertise service it's better to avoid DP really, I visit DP mainly for news, discussions, new tactics in SEO, etc. As for services your ad will be compared immediately with 1000 other at the same time and you will not have control of it, etc. etc.

There are not 1000 totaly free webdirectorys out there

As for the price hmm when i see people charging 25$ for 300 submissions it smells fishy ... anyway you know you get what you pay ...

Aren't there? I mean theres a good majority of Vilesilencer (about 473ish) and theres lists in other places of other free directories and theres always new directories being posted every day in the directories announcement section of DP. At the end of the day you could probably build a list of at least 2000 free directories to submit to. Even if some of those became paid (which of course will happen) there will always be other new ones popping up to take there place... in my view there are a good 1000+ free directories out there... and then some...

I doubt anyone has an up-to-date list of 1000 that are SEO-friendly and appropriate for general sites. The Vilesilencer list usually contains a handful of bad links, as directories quickly move to paid, have technical issues, or close. And if you include niche directories, you have to bear in mind that any given site will only qualify as on-topic for a small percentage of these anyway.

So anyone offering submission to more than 500 is suss, because the chances are that at least half of these links will be worthless. Unless there's a top-secret uber-list out there that only the ninja SEOs know about, and they aren't sharing with the rest of the PR-junkies.

Working how good ? Sure it's working somehow. Besides of that they also submit to FFA networks, I bet they use the same software to submit you to dirs.

Blake, try to do it by yourself 1 time (I mean submit to 1000 dirs manually or with semi-auto roboform and prepare the report and reply to e-mails from dirs) and you will figure out it will cost nowhere near $35.

Yes there are thousands--I have collected few thousands of them. :D
The problem is ---when you keep submitting to free directories where you did few days back---you get shocked--what the heck of ........becuase every day there are directories coming up and directories change from free to paid in a min. There is absolutely no way to be sure of a free directory list at any given time:rolleyes:

Man...why do this? Lets say you really do manually submit to hundreds and hundreds of directories by hand....why are you doing this?

You say it takes you 5-7 minutes to manually submit your site to one directory.

First i would like to ask this question to experienced SEO people: when you submit to directories you should try using different titles and descriptions, if you keep using the same title and description for each directory, Google will count these inlinks as duplicate content....thus giving no juice to it.

So if this was the case, then you must really do it manually and using those silly automated directory submitters are really pointless.

    So back to YOU mr...

You say it takes 5-7 mins ...lets just say 5 minutes to give you some respect :)

Now 100 directories you submit to a day that will take 5 minutes for each directory....comes out to 500 total minutes which is about 8 hours and 20 minutes to be exact.

Now for your pricing, 49.90 for 1000 directories (at your site its now at 1023 directories, but lets stick to 1000 because I have respect for you Mr.) .

ehh, what the heck, throw in a extra 10 cents to make it a even 50 bucks...only because I respect you Mr. Now that makes it 0.05 cents per directory and for 100 directories your making 5 bucks for 8 hrs and 20 minutes of your time. Thats about $.63 cents an hour your making.

Am I missing something here?? Are you really willing to spend 8 hrs and 20 mins of your time to make .63 cents an hr? You must be doing something with some sort of program that makes your pace go faster?? And if your not...I RESPECT YOU MR.

I thought that indians and pakistan and philipine people work for something like $8-$12 per hour, sometimes $5 per hour, sometimes $15. I mean here when they work over internet with western clients.

But that seems like offshore standart rate, so I can't get the point why to work for $0.63 / hour or something like this ? Really never can't understand this.

    My friend
did you read the whole thread? Where did I mention that I submit to 1000 directories? I took only one assignment in my life to submit to 1000 directories and I still regret it. I took it for $80 and it took me 10 days:mad: :( to finish. Will never do it again. I now take assignments for maximum of 300 (all PR4+)

Please read my posts before you comment.
    Thanks

I did read most of your posts along with others...
Not sure where I went wrong but please inform me via PM. I may just be interested in having my site submitted to many directories manually. Also would like for you to clarify what you are exactly offering...I think I'm missing something.
