I know this has been done before but I thought I give it a go anyway The site is at www.webmaster-team.com and is a trading place for webmasters. It’s brand new and I will start promoting it this week. Please give me some general feedback and suggestions on additional categories. Feel free to sign up within the next 3 days, post the username here you used when you signed up and I will give you a $30.00 credit towards your account in addition to the $5.00 signup bonus which can be used for any fees on the site. Registration and posting on the site is free but I charge a small fee for extras like homepage features and so on. Let me know what you think. Thanks
Yeah the site looks good and pretty inclusive (and well categorized) but you have the chicken/egg problem. Even with a free $35, it's not that welcoming without a lot of pre-existing users.
Yea, having some problems with Hostgator lately. Something to do with a backbone overloaded somewhere.
Looks nice, but perhaps a little cluttered if I were to be picky I would definitely use it if it were a more active place, I see that as your main problem, sort of like a forum start-up really
Well, you got nothing to loose. Even when your bonus is used up you still can advertise for free. I only charge for extras like homepage feature an so on. I don’t want to start promoting without having any offers on the site.
Looks good. I would only say that those gray blocks below could be place right below the orange one. Also you could try to place the welcome banner and site news above the Featured auctions.
Just thought I'd mention how nice the members area is. It's like a mix of vbulletin control panel and eBay, very thorough and everything has graphics so it's easy to understand. Very happy I signed up now
I wanted to keep the space under the welcome box for future ads. I know what you mean with the grey blocks, but I left it like this on purpose to keep a bit a space between the featured auction and the rest. After all the featured auctions are the only paid part of the system. Thanks
