A friends website at www.digitaltweaker.com is showing 1 page indexed by Google but has the old Hello world description from when Wordpress was first installed for the description. His website in webmaster tools shows that the sitemap was downloaded but 0 indexed pages for over a week although it obviously has the homepage in the index. Any help would be welcome ... Thank you all in advance.
As the site was new, the frequency of search indexing is very slow. Try the search query below and see when Google bots last crawled your page. site:digitaltweaker.com To get indexed properly, Try to get some link backs to your website..That will help index your page.
Even I could not find your Sitemap... Create a good Sitemap and submit it to Google webmaster tools At present your 20 pages are indexed... Which means Google is taking some time in indexing your site. Be Patient!
Thank you for your replies ... he moved his site from godaddy to hostgator and within a few hours everything started showing up. It seems that Godaddy sends a response to GoogleBot setting a slow crawl rate (of course this is just speculation based on other peoples posts throughout the net). Although the site created at the same time through hostgator did not have the same problem his did so i'm inclined to agree that the issue was Godaddy. Anyways point being everything is fine now thank you all for replying.
resubmit it or remove & add it back. also check the xml sitemap path & xml sitemap file so no html or code errors there.
might be possible code error in xml file, check first coding then xml sitemap version.... after submit again
Remove your sitemap from hosting and again create site map with name of same address...then submit again in webmaster....
same here tried to upload in both version but google web master didn't show green status. always red and red.
Where's he location of your (those of you having problems) XML sitemap files. And what happens when you click the sitemap file in the list in Google Webmaster Tools. What error are you shown?
