Webmaster Tools - No there indexed page

    Hello everyone,
    i have a problem because i submit the sitemap of my website but Webmaster tools only indexed 170 pages but submit 1998 pages. The robots is open for all
    User-agent: *
    Crawl-Delay: 20
    Disallow:
    Someone can you help me please?

    One thing that might help: Make sure you do not submit URLs (in he sitemap) that are duplicates and/or point ot other pages using canonical tag.

    Just because you submit a sitemap to Google, that doesn't mean that it will index all pages on that sitemap. On most sitemaps there are images and other items that Google might not index. There also might be pages that they find that has some duplicate content, like blog pages and similar.

    Also, if Google already has that same content indexed for another site, it might also not index those pages because it might see it as copied or scraped content. If it's something that is thin or doesn't meet their other webmaster guidelines then it might not index those pages as well.
