When I look at webmaster tools for my site it says that the page with the highest PR is the main page, for the last 3 months - yet I have internal pages with higher PR 4 as opposed to 3 for the main page. I thought it was just messed up from the last PR update and they would catch up but it has been a couple of months now - they don;t even know which of my pages has the highest PR ?
Was that page linked to a lot? Google gives a high PR to pages that many other (especially high PR) sites linked to..
This proves that the Toolbar PR is not worth squat....your real PR is internal and only Google knows it.
It seems to me that webmaster tools is inaccurate on many things. For 1 of my websites it shows Data is not available at this time. Has been that way since it went live. I am just not sure they have all the bugs worked out of webmaster tools.
Agree, the webmaster tools are not so hot, especially as it seems to take forever for their data to get updated. I wouldn't rely on them.
I'm not rely too much with Google webmaster central but it's okay.Just a little bit late updating their data and most of the search query result from my data is not 100% perfect.Nobody's perfect. I rank 9 for "new gaming console" among another 41,900,000 others , rank 4 for "download videos from internet" from yahoo search and it keep sending about 20-30 visitors a day.Quite small but it's a good start for me.And Google webmaster doesn't include that in their data in my account.
