    Hi Guys,

I wanted to know whether it is a problem having 2 webmaster tools verification codes? I just want to know it cos, i have received a website that had the webmaster tools verification meta tags included but i don't have access to that account (as per clients requirements).

So, i have created a new account and want to add new verification code but i don't want also to remove the earlier code as the client may have issues.

Are 2 verification codes allowed ?? Plz help. Thanks in advance.

I haven't experienced that situation, maybe you should talk to the site owner about the site verification for it is the main account and say probably is it not advisable to re-verify the site again.

you can't removed earlier web master code. you can place only one Google web master code in site.

please read Google Web Master Guideline for that.

WMT verification code is unique per site, so you can't have 2 :)

It is not at all an issue to use dual code of Google Webmaster tool.

I faced the same problem an year ago, as my client do not want to share the password of that account with me and Google also do not allow to provide multi-access of WM tool, so I was suggested to add a separate profile for it.

Currently, everything is working fine. By the way I suggest you to follow 2nd method in which Google ask to upload html file for authentication rather than using the code in page.

No, you can't add 2 codes at a time. So, don't even try that ::)

You would be able to verify the same second site a second time if your client had already verified the site previously. The most likely explanation is that there is no 2 verification code and that you are doing things right.
