Hello.... I just checked Google webmasters and was surprised to see something New that wasn't their before.. Heres what i found... Sitemap warnings for http://www.biz-king.com/sitemap.xml This Sitemap has the following warnings. These warnings will not prevent normal processing of your Sitemap or crawling of your site. However, we encourage you to investigate and fix these issues within your site. URLs not followed When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects. Please change the URLs in your Sitemap that redirect and replace them with the destination URL (the redirect target). All valid URLs will still be submitted. Just thought id share so that you guys get a heads up... Ill see whats going on shortly and get that fixed thx malcolm
I thought thay had always been there? I know when i first checked GWT out i had some crawl errors...Was it under the Web Crawl Section?
I just came on here to get help with the same "Sitemap Warnings". I had unlucky 13 from a total of 113 with the same error message. It is definitely a new error message because my sites are a few months old and I check them at least once a week, this is the first time I have seen it. I checked one of them and could not see anything wrong with it so I resubmitted it. I came back a few minutes later and it was okay. I just resubmitted the rest of them and they immediately passed okay and I do not have any error messages now. I will recheck them again tomorrow of course and keep my eye on them. Ozzy
Yes, I think that's it. All of the warnings are for my html-pages either beginning with a space or ending in a space. Even though mine are okay at the moment I think I'll go in and delete the spaces at the beginning and ending of all mine because I'm sure they'll be flagged up tomorrow. Thanks for that, Ozzy
thanks for noting this, i had a warning on my sitemap due to one of the directories being disallowed in my robots.txt i also had an error on my rss feed (we switched it to feedburner, so the old path was no longer valid)
I thought they had too, but I might just have been under that impression since it has to verify your sitemap initially and will warn you during that process, if I'm not mistaken. -Michael
GWT always would tell you the bad url's, maybe this is a different feature, but I'm sure it's been there b4. Thanks for the tip
