Webmaster Tool - Setting - Geographic target

    Currently one of mine site have Geographic target set to United state in Google webmaster tool, but I want to remove (Uncheck) it because I am targeting whole world not a specific country.

    Will this action affect my current ranking in Google.com


    pls suggest.
