Hi... I made a change to my navigation a while ago using a certain very common word and not realizing the mistake I made. Google picked up this word and because it was in my nav, there were over 5000 occurences of it. The word had nothing to do with my site and pushed my important keywords down. When I saw it, I immediately changed the nav and resubmitted my sitemap to google. It helped some (50% less of that word) but it is still way too prominent for my site. And now it's completely incorrect since I don't use it except in that old nav file. How can I get it fixed in google? It's been a couple of weeks and they still show it. Any help would be appreciated!
just make rel="nofollow" to those anchor text. By this way the user can be able to navigate properly using those text that you have used and search engine will not take those text links as you web content. Both the purpose will be served.
