I am wondering which one is your favorite webmail open source? Such as roundcube or Atmail and others?

After you tell me your favorite web mail open source, please add why? Because I am looking for one and I have few choices to choose and I am leaning forward to AtMail but I'd like to hear some of your opinions on different webmail open sources so that may change my mind and use different one.

And also wouldn't you mind to help me on how to install Atmail? Is it you unzip then upload on ftp client (ws_ftp or others) then create MYSQL and install it from your browser? Like installing through wizard.

    Thank you!

I have only used Horde, Roundcube and SquirrelMail and I prefer SquirrelMail as I found it to be the easiest to use. I don't know about setting it up and configuring it. Just from using it, it was my favorite of the three I mentioned. I never tried Atmail.

    Hi Joshie.

Where are you trying to install AtMail?
If it's cPanel hosting then you can have Horde, Roundcube and SquirrelMail available already.

I am on a server, I do have cpanel.

Seen some sites recommending atmail to install as a webmail out the rest of other web mails so I figured I'd like to give it a try.

I am using Zimbra and I love it. It is more of a whole e-mail suite where it sets up the IMAP/POP servers, webmail, SMTP, AV, Anti-Spam, etc. Little bit bloated, but the first real GMail competitor I have used.

During a recent internship in a software company I've discovered a new open source project, called Vteddy,is written in php. It has many functionalities such as support for spam and it is also multi imap. I suggest you to try it . You can download it at http://www.vteddy.com/
