WebHostMaker.com - problems... What to do?

    Hello, everyone.

Any of you having their websites hosted at WebHostMaker? I have (had) and am very disappointed at their level of support. I ordered their RH-3 unlimited Reseller hosting package almost a year ago and from the get-go there were this little downtimes here and there, I usually wrote a support ticket in this case, and always got fair-prompt answer and the websites worked again.

However, 10 days ago, I figured out I can't login to my WHM anymore. Tried with changing passwords, no good. So I wrote another support ticket with question why can't I login anymore.. and got the answer after few days "your account was suspended due to violation of our TOS, that's the reason".

Since I didn't have a clue at the time about what exactly was the problem (and I still don't) - I had 15 websites with a Wordpress script installed on each domain, all spending no more then 100MB bandwidth/month - I asked this support guy what exactly was wrong and also asked him to get the access to WHM, just to create the backups for my domains and move them elsewhere. However, from that reply to their answer on my ticket.. I recieved no word from them at all.

I waited for a few days on support ticket reply, when that didn't happen, I tried with LiveChat at their website, got into conversation with one of their workers, but as soon as I mentioned the case and my support ticket number, he was out of conversation also. I reloaded their website and the LiveChat status went from ONline to OFFLINE in a second :) :)

I sent them few emails afterwards about it, but I guess I won't recieve any feedback. But even if I would recieve the temp-access to my sites, I have a little suspicion about the backups... It could very well be the case, that they don't even have the backups anymore.

Anyone of you ever faced the similar problems with this or any other hosting?

I would not recommend them. At all.

    regards,

    Tomaz

Taking a few days to answer your support ticket, just to tell you your account was suspended is very poor. Irrespective of what TOS you had violated your host should have let you know immediately upon suspension, not waited for you to contact them.

Now that you know what the problem was - account suspension - you've met with the reaction of many hosts.....ignore you, don't give the files back, and hope the problem will go away.

Not giving you your files back is extremely poor service. We have suspended accounts in the past for TOS violations but we've always informed the user why the account was suspended, and we've always provided a way for them to recover their files as long as they do it within 7 days. We do charge for our time to provide the access to the files and to monitor usage while the files are being recovered, but this is all clearly explained and stated in our Terms.

    Sorry for your lost.

Their website is using free template.

From there you already can see its not kind of serious host.

So you mean you paid 12 month in advance?

I had a bitter experience with this company - Webhostmaker.com. They left me hanging with the service several days. I reset of my account without consultation, borrandome all domains, restaurandome outdated information and several days later. And last, their servers failed, what reason they are formatted. My patience ran out, asking for a refund of my money for the remainder. Although we spent 30 days (exactly 60 days of contract), these faults are responsabildad of the company and support for their happy contract.
At the end of 3 months and 2 month with failure. Do not answer, leave hanging in full chat, ticket reclado not respond, simply close it. And as a tremendous joke, send mesajito to give an extra month to compensate for the inconvenience, and that gives the information of my clients who have lost emails that bounce off all domains. Bitter experience, the only thing I run is to migrate to another server, and wait when you deign to respond. I hope this experience will serve those who will select Servers, taken intoaccount this point and asset of that company.

did you tell exactly what clause of TOS have you violated?
exceeding the CPU usage of a limited server resources is typically and issue when the host becomes too popular. However they should not be assholes about that, and should have explained and allowed you to fix a problem or move your stuff to a different host.

There are limits on the hosting services. And the host support must be helpful for solving them, otherwise change them.
