Hi guys, I just found out that WebHostingBreak have stolen several of my articles and I tried to contact them but their published email actually does not exist. What do I do? Where can I report them? Thanks.
Sorry to hear that Dmitry,it seems that that domain was registered today,I did a little research and found out this domain ( http://www.top-11-web-hosting.com/ ) is being redirected to that site. You can try with the email listed in the whois record, which is ian [a.t] ian-mason.com .I also visited http://www.ian-mason.com/ and noticed that there was a banner linking to the hosting review site,so that's probably his site. It's ridiculous that someone who makes 24K per month couldn't afford to hire a writer and stole other's property! Hope that helps.
Yeah, he already replied to my enquire. He said that he hired some writers to do those articles. The articles are simply rewritten from my original articles. Will see how it goes. http://www.webhostinggeeks.com/articles/ - original articles http://www.webhostingbreak.com/articles/ - slightly rewritten
That's funny! I took the liberty of running Content Checkup v1.30 to compare the rewritten articles. Unfortunately for you, the first two that I checked, although containing similar content, were 96% and 100% different from your articles. His "Choosing The Right Web Hosting Company" Yours "Choosing a Good Web Hosting Company" His "Ultimate Noob’s Guide To Web Hosting" Yours "Beginner’s Guide to Web Hosting" Obviously he hired a copywriter who plugged your article into a proggie like Content Composer. A good copywriter at that, and that's bad for you. His version is easier to read, with a better font, <h> tags, text links, and highlighted text. In and of itself, 95% different was enough to make your complaint look foolish, but just for giggles, I checked your "Beginner's Guide to Web Hosting" in Copyscape to find any actual examples of real plagiarism. Guess what I found. At least 3 copies of your article published in various directories and blogs. One such example is located at http://www.justfreewebhosting.com/beginner's_guide_to_web_hosting.html Wanna hear the funny part? Your copyright info isn't on that article. One friend to another: If you take the content from your site and publish it in articles directories or post it on blogs, you have absolutely no recourse if someone takes it, rewrites it so it's 95% or 100% different, and republishes it on their own site. That's especially true if there's no copyright info. Just my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth.
