Hi all. Just something I have noticed as I plan to advertise my webhosting. Now that DP has decided to actively enforce their “nothing below $5†most of my posts must be made in the “freebies†section. At the same time I am noticing if I make a post in the hosting section it gets removed in under an hour normally, and i get an infraction. yet I am seeing active threads in their similar to mine that should get the same treatment, and instead they are getting clients... This is making it really hard to get customers, people want cheap hosting, so they go to the hosting section yet none of my posts are there... Also so much stuff in the freebies section means your post gets buried in under an hour... I am not bashing the admins/mods i realise why they have done it and how hard it is to mod something like DP. Has anyone got any ideas of how I can advertise? Regards, TOm
Try other specific web hosting related forums (there are so many of these: e.g. freewebspace.net is the most popular I know).
Yeh I have been on a few others. Just ashame that I have to go to other place... really like it at DP. Anyone know any other good ones? Regards, Tom
I understand your situation yet what i can tell you is rule is rule don't break it. Why don't you make your price higher than $5 let say $6. If you don't want to do that,then you should go other forum to promote for example webhostingtalk/v7n
