Webhost suspension, what about my site?

    Hello,

I would like to ask some website experts here.
My website is down because my webhosting says it's account suspended because I fail to pay the yearly.
However, the reason i can't pay them anymore because their website is likewise inaccessible. The last time they are still online, I tried to email them to reset my password and send new password, so that I can pay them in advance.
I wonder what will happen to my site... My questions are:
    1) Is it still possible to get the files (I'm using WP platform)?
    2) If not, will I still be able to use the domain in different webhost which I will soon purchase?
    3) I've done a couple of SEO in that website. Will it hurt in case I try to rebuild it from the start?
    Thanks!

if you cannot login, you cannot get your files

2- you ca n use the domain on differnet website IF you have bought it from some other major domain seller, like godaddy/namecheap/moniker etc etc.
3- no, it should not hurt completely, as 50% of seo is domain specific.
you just have to make sure you have the backup of your data.

I advise you to ask for a site backup and restore the backup on the server of a new hosting company. The SEO positions will be fine in case you decide to transfer your site, but if you keep the site on the servers of the current providers and it keeps failing, then the SEO positions will definitely get lower.

It's a hard lesson to learn, but always make a backup of your website. Cpanel has a very simple module that will back it up.
You can still try to contact them and see if they will give you a backup.

Rise support ticket to reset your password to access the client area or cpanel.

If you wish to migrate to another host, just give your login details (previous host's cpanel / control panel login details ), they can help you to migrate to new server.

My only comment for you is, change your web hosting service provider. Even if you could do all the above, such as retrieve backups, ensuring site is operational again, chances are your account is going to be hit with the same issue over and over again.

Invest in another reliable web hosting company that could provide you with a much better service level. Too much downtime can be detrimental to your revenue, and huge waste of time and resources trying to get it back online.

So many companies are providing 24/7 support over some communication method so its a crime to stick with someone that you fail to reach so many times. If you can reach them - definitely ask for a backup. If your domain is registered with them - ask them to renew it separately from the account and run like the wind :)

Ask for your backups, they should give you them no problem.

In case of suspension and you do not need to fix it for provider (Eg., upgrade if traffic can overload their server). You can ask them to have temporary session for login to control panel and get backup file.
