The site looks like an authoritive site as it appears 2nd in Google with keyword "web directory". Some DP members got their links on them, but I am not too sure if this site is passing PR points. Some of the sites have PR0 or very low. Their home page is PR7 but they have some irrelevant links... Google may pass PR points from this one unless they dealt with those links already... What do you think?
i think buy it - becasue PR doesnt mean anything no more. how bout some1 starts a thread bout that - it would become a very dramatic and long thread
Well, if you dont know just check the web directory chace, to see when last time it was crawled and if it was this mont, at least once amont thats a good sign, also go to the one of the category which you know the best and check what kind of websites are listed if the sites are just junk, that is a bad sign if it opposite thats good..also I would check how many pages are actually indexed by google from that directory and in the end ask yourself would google trust this directory??
ok, I dont think you even looked at the site.. Here are some stats of this directory: 159 links from .gov 2310 from .edu Dmoz listed domain age since 1996, PR7, Page Strength 7.5 Google SERP 2 with "web directory" #1 is Google directory I know all these and yet to ask "So, what do you think?"
I would simply consider that directory to be an authoritive...simply looking at the stats. But they seem to be careless. The home page got many irrelevant links, and I would not be surprised that Google might not let PR points pass. So, even if Google makes them as an authoritive in that industry (directory), if they are not letting PR points pass, there is no PR benefit, possibly nor trust rank benefit either? Any comment?
yes, you did such a great job on reasearching, thanks u proved me wrong cause I gues I just didnt take my time to look closely at it..
