Does anyone know of any good software to keep track of clients and payment information?

We just use a hidden forum on our vbulletin support forums. We create a new thread for each job or client and everyone involved in the project can update it. Everything is dated, timestamped and in the one place so it works well.

Never thought of that: I always just use an excel spreadsheet!

My suggestions is just use the Google Docs and Spreadsheet..

you can enter all the activities online.. share it with your collegues and Supervisors..to show them actualy work done and yet to be done...

You can also share the part of it with your client..to show a feel of work..

You can also make a RSS Feed of this worksheet and send it your client or whoever wants to see it..

 

I used an old program called freetime available on sourceforge. It served its purpose for many years. There are quite a few open-source and free project management tools often categorized under "groupware". Check out a few below:
