Webdesign Criticism please

Afternoon,

I designed a website a while back (http://bit.ly/HbEAos), although it hasn't been performing well in conversion and bounce rates are high. I have tried improving the on page seo, if you've any helpful comments or ideas I'd like to know, and added extra content as well as been updating the site but need some advice. For obvious reasons please do not mention the name of the site on this website please, but any ideas or anything you could suggest I would be grateful.

First impression, your company's main banner looks unfinished or misplaced in the top middle.It's better you put it upper left or right.It gives the impression of your website is still under construction.Your about page is hard to read and have some mistakes.(too many commas)

 

you make some nice signs, you should be able make better banners

 

thanks for that somethought, regarding the banner, I presume you mean the image that rotates in the background, or do you mean the logo at the top? thanks

You need to identify your USP - unique selling proposition - what are you doing that is different from your competitors? Then think 'benefits' to your customers and use that as your headline rather than the generic 'welcome to our web site' idea.

 

I think your selection of fonts needs a bit of work. But overall its not bad

 

I find your site absolutely good in regard of design. Its unique, I have never seen anything like it Its always better to stand out of the crowd.

 

Logo could use work. The main reason I would hit the back button is all the movement. The middle of the page "Products and Services" kept moving up and down. Looks like something is wrong with the site.

 

I would enlarge the header banner to span across the top of the page and incorporate the '' contact us "
