Webcam Wireless - Help me

    Hello

    are there any webcams that can work...let's say...10 km far from me ?

    For example, I want put a webcam in the main place of my city and see what's happening from my house, is this possible ?

    I wish also to control the webcam from my computer.

    It's not a matter of webcam only , but how will you keep the connection for 10KM ?

    Wifi can't do all that far !!! 100 meter theorically I guess :D

    Yes, I saw some working with 100 metres

    but some km would be nice :)

    The only possible wat to extend connection would be to use a line of sight microwave connection. 2.4 Ghz or 5.8Ghz range to get rid of interference. The only non licensed off the shelf tool that you could use.

    An open wifi connection nearby the webcam and/or with the permission of a wifi owner in the area.

    That's what I would look for a start.
