what do you think about this registrar, is it good?
Should i buy my domain there, as I can use my alertpay account.

Never heard about Web4africa before. Personally, I would stick to the big reputable companies when buying names.

I think the reason he wants to use them is because they are one of the few companies who accept AlertPay. I bought a domain from them and it has been pending for about 24 hours so far. I will get back to you when my domain goes through. :D

    Hey victim,

Do you know of any other sites that accept alertpay? Also, reguarding to web4africa, do you know if they do domain transfers to other members like namecheap?

stick with big registration companies like godaddy, name,,,, (unless your domain is a premium one, domain resellers wont be interested in domains with unfamous registries. so if you are planning to resell go for a big registry)

I have to agree with coolcode007 on a few points.

If you are planning on reselling, you might have a tough time finding a buyer for a domain name at a
    lesser known registrar.
If on the other hand, they are for your own use/development, this would be less of an issue...unless of course
they pull a "registerfly" on you

Ok thanks mozzeratti. The main reason I was interested in web4africa is that they accept alertpay. Currently, my paypal account was limited for no reason, and I was interested in domain sites that accepted alertpay.

Quick question: What did you mean by "registerfly?"

registerfly.com was a domain registar that was terminated by ICANN last year after a court battle confirmed registerfly was using customer registration fees for things other than paying registration fees... charging too much and fraudulently acting with the intent of deception to its customers.. they deleted account passwords and usernames after peeps purchased their domain(s).. they were more of a half scammage/half mismanaged registar... Also, the two founders that each owned 50% in registerfly.com (which had over a million registered domains) were in business struggle.. and a personal struggle on a broken relationship..
another example of bad management and why its usually better to use the best domain company with the cleanest track record.. GoDaddy.com :D

Wow, thanks for the reply. I've used godaddy in the past and had no problems, but I guess I'll just wait until my paypal account is open again.
