I also have $50 worth of hosting referrals in my CJ account.

All the pages, tutorials, content and code was written by me. I spend first 3 months creating the site, which involved writing tutorials, building code, tweaking the site and the rest. However, you can if you want outsource the writing part. I'm doing that now with my other project sites. I don't write content anymore, i just outsource.

Again, I didn't put much effort in creating backlinks. All links been people posting my pages on their blogs, sites and forums. With than been said, you can easily take the visitor count to 2k-3k a month if you put effort into creating backlinks. Mind you, I never submitted the site to any directories either. So, that can be one of you back link strategy.

How much do you make off each book sale?

 

$8 to $16. if the user buys hardcopy and pdf, i make 16, if only one of them then i make $8. sitepoint also has $25 commission books (original price up to $500). i have sold one of those so far as well.

the domian is hosted at netfirms.com and so is the site. the domian is registered till 2009. so that's a bonus

i will help the purchaser move over the site content and domain registration to their hosting company.
