Hi I've maintained a website that's had steady growth for about 12 years, it was always flat HTML, and written by me from templates etc in Dreamweaver. The site was getting up to about 12 thousand visitors a day, but was looking a bit dated and tired. So Nov-December last year I migrated the site (about 1100 technical articles) into Wordpress. All the old URL's automatically redirect to the new articles in Wordpress. I was expecting the traffic to drop post migration, and it did. The problem is, its steadily getting worse. I frequently put up new original content, I don't do anything shady, Webmaster tools says my sitemap is getting indexed properly. Still traffic drops day after day. New users down 1 million, from Jan - May 2015 returning users down nearly three million? Please can someone give me some helpful advice? Site link for reference Pete
Ohh mate .If you have this milion visitors you have enought money to pay for a link for a few months. The people need a time for the changes .Promote your new adress send again the sitemap , do a few new post ( the bot will see that the site is alive) , 2 months and the results will be the same like in your old one.
Thanks for the feedback, how good are these sites? They say they use legal methods? what sort of experiences have you guys had with them? I'm quite happy to pay to fix the problem. P
