    That's a little weird question. You generally get all the files when you buy a template. html files are once which actually show up on the browser. swf are the flash part which also shows up in the browser if your page has flash element in it. PSD and SWF are the source files of the page design and the swf respectively. Hope it helps :)

    Stick to templates that contain static content.

    How about CSS?
    People use css templates more now, they look nice and they load much faster.

    I agree with this. The files can be PHP but stay away from flash and frames for better SEO.

    Given a choice between a tabled layout and one that uses CSS go for the CSS one.

    .SWF= .flash :p

    My advice is to go with an xhtml-compliant and css-compliant theme.

    Go with xhtml or css templates, avoid flash for seo purposes, also can slow down alot download time.

    This is golden :)

    Stay away from Flash sites unless you are planning to have two version of your sites (one static and one flash). HTML or even dynamic pages (without session ids) work perfectly.
