Customizing web templates shouldn't be too hard ... but to be honest it comes down to so many different things: How comfortable are you around HTML/CSS? Does the template use any other languages such as PHP and will your changes effect that? What sort of software (if any) are you going to use to make your changes? How complex is the template in the first place?
