HI DP Members Just wondering if you wouldn't mind 'helping' me out by answering a couple of Questions - if that is Okay, with you ..? What do beleive are the benefits of using Web Standards? What / Where are the best examples of compliance in 'practice' (web sites)? Why do you use, or do not use Web Standards? When 'testing and reviewing' do you use such tools as the: W3C Quality Assurance Tools (Validators) - http://www.w3.org/QA/Tools/ SiteScore - http://www.silktide.com/tools/sitescore WAVE 3.0 (Web Accessibility Versatile Evaluator) - http://www.wave.webaim.org/index.jsp One last question, what would be the greatest benefit of using Web Standards? I have noticed that for business in U.K. that compliance is part of DDA legislation and is mandatory - if I am given to uderstand correctly. Regards
Web Site Validation -- Formal Debate might be a start for you. You might get some more advice if you posted in the HTML & Website Design as well
You would get a better response by posting in the correct forum. Don't you think ISO & W3C web standards would fit better under "HTML & Web Design"?
No, not when the ISO and standards I am speaking about are also related to ISO - 9000 and IQS (International Quality Systems) compliance just as much as having a D-U-N-S Number is a good credibility indicator for a business - I humbly beleive. Is not best practice related to good business practices? I like your comments and have been trawling the forums, and the debate is yet to occur - I am just asking, hope you do not mind
