They do not ban such sites, but lower bounce rate is definitely better. But if the bounce rate is resulting from a website owner putting spammy links in e-mails, other blogs, forums, paid traffic etc. then they will be banned.
I don't believe they ban for it. The lower the bounce rate has been said to help with SEO and ranking. Eventually you'll want to add enough content to keep the user on your site, this also gives you more opportunity to have more clicks.
high bounce rate means your site is terrible and can't hold the attention of visitors. what you should be doing is figuring out a way to impel your incoming traffic to stay on your site for at least a minute. videos help.
I heard Matt Cutts once saying bounce rate is not a factor to penalize sites. By the way I want to know if 75% bounce rate is good or bad? How many you guys have 75% or higher bounce rate?
High bounce rates is not a problem.... My bounce rate is high because I add a lot of quality external links so its natural.... If you want to reduce the bounce rate then you need to add more and more internal links.... especially at the top and end...
