Web sign up for separate companies

I could use some clarification on web signup for different companies.

From what I understand this is the way to do it, is this correct?

    1. Company B is assigned an account class
    2. Products Company B offers are associated with Company B's account class
    3. A offer code associated with Company B's account class is hard coded into the signup. Thus only showing the products associated with Company B
    4. Upon signup the customer is givien the account class of Company B

Is there anything wrong with this approach or is there a better way?

    MORE QUESTIONS

Is there a specific place where account classes are created, or is it just whatever you input in the Company Preferences in the list of Company Addresses?

Does the realm Override in the offer code setup make it so their username becomes username@realmoverride?

Does the salesperson option in the offer code setup make it so that salesperson gets credit for that signup?

How do I make it so that all signups without an offer code default to Account Class for Company A?

    Thanks

Nothing wrong with it. That would work fine.

The drop-down list is populated from what existing customers have.

It can, if you have it setup to append the domain to the login.

    Correct.

You wouldn't need to, because they would automatically be assigned to company 1 if there is no account class.
