    Hello All,

This is weird, i am not able to process any forms on my websites. I am not able to add a theme on wordpress and on other website i am unable to register myself. Its like i can open website and surf but forms don't get processed and it says connection interrupted.

I am going to ask this to web host but just thought of asking it here to check if its form my computer side?

I asked my web host, they said the server is working just fine, all lights are green and they can access website easily which i cannot. But i am unable to work on any website of mine which needs form submission like registration, link addition and profile update and even wp theme and pluggion addition.

I dont know what the problem is.

I can open it sometimes from here too. But can you please try submitting one story. Here is one demo login. username : angel1987. password: qwerTY

Its not just with this one website, its with all of my other domain, anything related to form submission or say database related? can it be database related? because its always when adding, updating and changing data.

Bah, I login and tried to submit a story it was too slow. After 10 sec I just closed it. You really need to fix it. Could be your database which is to big and you need to put an index on it. Have a coder to look at for you if you want? Though if the other site is alsi effected then it shoudn't be the prob with the database only though. emm..
Try PMing this coder http://forums.digitalpoint.com/itrader.php?u=98602 Worked with him before.

I knew it was not just with me or my computer. Since it is always during form submission. Thanks for the coder info, i will check again with the webhost once.

How about if you upgrade back to Windows? This slowness will cause your visitors to go away and never turn back.

They had cheapest windows server at that time. Its now i realized asp.net is really not that good as compared to php which is better. Many software developers recommended me linux server where phpmyadmin runs better. I am not a server expert just a customer with such an experience.

I know this slow performance will affect visitors on my other important domains, but i am working this out with their support team. Just waiting for their response. Its really weird and hard to point the main problem since visitors can surf and open web pages but just cannot submit forms.

Sounds like good advice to me. If it worked before, but doesn't now, I'd be hot-footing it back to the previous hosting plan.

Don't believe everything people tell you. PHP runs brilliantly on Windows. Performance is great on Server 2003 - particularly with MS Fast-CGI and in CGI mode, but performance on Windows Server 2008 is outstanding and tests shows PHP performance on Windows 2008 to be significantly better than on Linux (MS sponsored tests, so there might be a bias there. Please, no flame-war here about Linux/Windows!). I work for a Windows hosting company and we don't have any issues with php based web sites. In fact, over the last few years we're seeing more and more use of PHP, mostly down to the open-source apps that are available like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal etc etc.

So they said it was DDoS attack on server. Distributed Denial of Service attack and they said it is resolved but my sites are still not working even after reinstalling wordpress, etc.

Which is the best web hosting provider?
